Join Neighbors for More Neighbors to kick off the 2026 legislative session at the Capitol!
At the 4th annual Start with Home Rally, we gather legislators and housing advocates together to "start with home" and prioritize legislation that:
Saves and creates more homes
Expands access and opportunity
Secures predictable housing investments
Let's pack the Capitol Rotunda again and make sure this session "Starts With Home!"
After the Rally, stick around until 1:30 pm to help deliver our "Yes to Homes" petition across the Capitol to lawmakers. We will provide shirts and sandwiches for those who stay later at the Capitol with us.

City Council Meeting - Call on the Minneapolis City Council to enact an Election Moratorium
On January 15th, Council Member Wonsley will introduce Evict ICE, Not Us and call on Governor Walz to issue an immediate eviction moratorium through executive order. She will also make a motion to allow public comment so that residents can speak about why we need an eviction moratorium. The motion needs nine votes to pass.
Learn more about why an eviction moratorium is a reasonable and necessary act of leadership. Then RSVP to attend this Thursday's (1/15/2026) city council meeting and prepare a statement of why this is an important step Minneapolis and Minnesota officials can take to protect our neighbors and communities.
Press conference begins at 1:30 PM, followed by the city council meeting at 2 PM.

Join your Neighbors for More Neighbors friends for an ugly sweater party and high-stakes dessert competition! Bring a baked good of any variety to compete. Bite-sized treats are best, so people can sample everything. Try to bring at least 24 bites.
Entries will be judged by fellow party-goers in the categories of flavor and presentation. The overall winner will receive a N4MN swag item of their choice!
The competition will be on December 18th, starting at 6 PM. RSVP to receive the address!
