📣 Take Action for Tenant Rights + Join Us for People Powered Policy on June 26!

Neighbors for More Neighbors has joined in with other tenants rights organizations to support the long time community organizing work to get Source of Income Protections and Just Cause Eviction Protections at the state capitol this year. Unfortunately, these bills did not move forward, but there’s still urgent work to do to allow tenants to be able to live and invest in the places they call home in our communities—and your voice is crucial.

In the 2026 legislative session, we will have the opportunity to advance two vital tenant protection policies in Minnesota:
🏠 Source of Income Protections – to stop landlords from discriminating against renters with housing subsidies and to ensure housing subsidies work how they are intended
⚖️ Just Cause Eviction Protections – to ensure renters can’t be evicted or denied lease renewals without a fair reason

These policies help ensure everyone can live where they want to live, without fear of losing their home unfairly.

We’re asking you to do two quick ways to help move this work forward:

1. Email Your Legislators Today Using this Form
Ask them to support Source of Income and Just Cause protections—and to watch these powerful video narratives from tenants, hearing the voices of community that can not always make it to the capitol to testify.
👉If you would like to watch them yourself, please click here.

Hearing directly from constituents makes a difference. Let’s make sure they know how much this matters to us and our communities.

2. Join Us at People Powered Policy – Thursday, June 26 @ The Arthouse, 6–8:30pm
📍 The Arthouse, 4400 North Lyndale Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55412
RSVP here.

This will be a powerful evening of:

  • Tenant storytelling

  • Dinner & connection

  • Action to protect renters’ rights

  • Video Storytelling

Let’s gather, connect with other organizations doing this work, and continue building momentum for housing justice in Minnesota.

Thank you for being part of this work. Your commitment truly powers the progress we’re making together.
