Request for Art Proposals

Neighbors for More Neighbors requests a bid for four (4) illustrations or graphics that convey our 2024 policy goals and/or the risks of not passing them and/or the benefits of passing them. Our goal is to help policy-makers and the public understand these concepts in a simple, engaging, visual way.
Neighbors for More Neighbors stands up for secure, abundant homes for everyone in the Twin Cities. We envision a future where we all find secure, affordable homes in neighborhoods we choose. Those neighborhoods may include great transit, a community where family and friends are neighbors, or complete neighborhoods with walkable errands and jobs. As we move through our lives, we find smaller and larger homes as our needs change, while staying in communities we love. We imagine a day where this is true for everyone: owners and renters, and people of all ethnicities and income levels.
Deliverables:
- Four illustrations or graphics (see details attached/on request)
- Option to update to one or more graphics, if needed, during the Minnesota legislative session reflecting proposal changes
- Approximate deadline for final graphics delivery is January 27th.
We need four topics illustrated. If needed, N4MN can provide images of Minnesota neighborhoods and rural, suburban, and urban communities as examples. N4MN policy experts are also available to help explain these concepts in more detail or answer any technical questions needed to complete the drawings. The concepts we are considering include:
- Small multifamily homes.
- New homes in business districts (Residential in Commercial Zones)
- Land Value Taxes (LVT)
- Removing barriers through standardizing bulk controls
Vision details provided on request to interested artists.
Please respond by December 13th. Responses should be no more than 2 written pages. Please include:
- Pricing for four images
- Per-revision pricing of one image, if requested
- A brief description of your process
- Timeframe for delivering four images
- Payment structure requirements
- A past work sample
- Qualifications, specifically showing your ability to accurately portray the policy concepts. This could be samples of past work, educational background, or a brief narrative.
- Approach to working with N4MN
Send proposals to neighborsformoreneighbors@gmail.com by December 13th, end of day.
