Application Deadline

Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at 9 PM

We are seeking applicants to our board of directors.

If you are passionate about the issues we stand for, and willing to contribute to our work, we hope you’ll apply. As a board member, you serve a 2 year term, which can be renewed, if desired.

As a small but mighty voice in the broader conversation about homes in our region, we represent a diverse set of members and neighbors.  We are actively recruiting a diverse board in race, gender, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, sexual identities, neighborhood, housing tenure, as well as in viewpoints, life experiences and skills.

Some of our priorities for the next two years include diversifying our funding sources, organizing in Minnesota communities where zoning and entitlements reform is most needed (outside of Minneapolis & Saint Paul), and bringing more diverse perspectives to our work. We actively seek board members who can help us grow in those areas, and who are renters.

Board Expectations:

  • Be committed to our mission & policy priorities (see our full Mission, Vision & Values)
  • Attend monthly board meetings
  • Contribute as a volunteer leader beyond board meetings through volunteer tasks or event attendance. Expect a 7 hour commitment per month, including board meetings.
  • Contribute to the organization’s financial standing – this could be through personal donation, assisting with fundraising, and/or amplifying fundraising efforts to those you know.
