Neighbors for More Neighbors is hiring a contract Coalition Coordinator to assist with the Yes to Homes Coalition.
The Yes to Homes coalition is a large and diverse coalition united around the common goal of creating statewide housing policy to address Minnesota's housing shortage, ensuring that all Minnesotans have a safe and stable place to call home. This role supports the coalition by providing administrative and project management support to leadership and work groups.

Are you interested in getting more involved with State Policy?
We are gearing up for our work at the State Legislature this year and working to build support across the state for Yes to Homes! Whether you live in the city, suburbs, a rural area, or somewhere in between, we have work to do now to build the support we need to win.
Neighbors for More Neighbors is looking for volunteers interested in completing one or both of the following actions:
1) Be placed on a shortlist to write Letters to the Editor in November and December. As we ramp up to the legislative session, we would like to build a team of volunteers who can rapidly respond to articles that get published. This will help us start building pro-homes momentum in the news, both in statewide media and local outlets across the state.
2) Meet with local elected officials in {{ City | default: 'your town' }} to get their support and endorsement of the Yes to Homes legislation. We want to strengthen the voices of local elected officials who support our bills and ensure they hear from us. If there are non-elected leaders in {{ City | default: 'your town' }} who we should also connect with, we will work with you to do so.
Neighbors for More Neighbors will provide support, toolkits, and training for both actions.

Share Your Housing Story
As we ramp up for the 2026 legislative session, we need your help!
We want to ensure that all conversations about bills that the Yes to Homes! Coalition proposes have real-life Minnesotans at the center.
Sharing a personal story can be the difference in getting our bills passed.

N4MN joins the Housing Justice League
|
In October, Neighbors for More Neighbors joined the Housing Justice League (HJL), a group of community-based organizations advocating for policy change and building grassroots support for housing justice in Minneapolis.
The HJL's current priority is advocating for a strong Tenant Opportunity to Purchase (TOPA) policy that would give all renters the first right to purchase their building when it goes for sale, or transfer that right to a buyer of their choosing.

In Minnesota, it now takes a six-figure income to buy a home because house prices are rising faster than incomes. This is making homeownership, long a marker of middle-class status, out of reach for many.
Read this insightful article from the Star Tribune that shows why passing statewide pro-homes legislation is critical in shifting the trend of rising home prices.

At the national level, the ROAD to Housing Act is a bipartisan package of legislation that would give states and cities more tools to reform outdated housing policy.
It’s the most significant housing solution legislation we’ve seen introduced in years, and it is being championed by Minnesota's own Senator Tina Smith.
Read Alexa Bobyak's take on the importance of this legislation, and how we need to take bold statewide action to allow more homes in Minnesota by passing the Yes to Homes agenda next legislative session.

Organizing Training Cohort
More than 40 volunteers from Neighbors for More Neighbors, Sustain Saint Paul, and other partner organizations kicked off our Organizing Training Cohort with a half-day Saturday training in early October.
"I liked how the training felt like a dynamic conversation, and not just people talking AT us."
"I most enjoyed the focus on making human connection through listening to people’s stories and taking the risk to be vulnerable or uncomfortable."
Special thanks to RB from Welcoming Neighbors Network for flying down from Rhode Island to help lead the training!
