Organizing Training Cohort - Part 1 of 3 Saturday, October 11th | 9 AM
|
The Sibling Rivalry didn't lead to too many hurt feelings, so we are co-hosting ANOTHER event with Sustain Saint Paul. We invite you to join a free three-part organizing training designed to help you grow your relational organizing skills. Part one is happening this Saturday (October 11th) from 9 AM to 2 PM, and RSVP's are still open!

Whether you’re brand new to organizing or a seasoned veteran, this training will make you a more effective advocate for housing justice, help you build stronger connections to your community, and give you a toolbox for creating meaningful action. The best part? Breakfast AND lunch will be provided!
Note: Childcare will be provided at the event and spots are still available. So if you are interested, but worried about your kiddos, don't hesitate to sign up! Any questions, reach out to Angela@MoreNeighbors.org.

This will be our last newsletter before elections conclude on November 4th so this is your last reminder from us to refresh yourself on how ranked choice voting works and to review the Minneapolis Housing Questionnaire before filling out your ballot!
Candidates chosen in this election will shape the Minneapolis 2050 Plan, which will decide whether we build on, or reverse, the progress made in the 2040 Plan.

Curious about how the pro-homes movement is doing in other states?
Read this review from Pew on how shared principles are driving historic reforms and policies that promote housing across the nation. Minnesota needs to do more in the upcoming session to ensure we don't fall behind on home-friendly policy.

As we ramp up for the 2026 legislative session, we need your help!
We want to ensure that all conversations about bills that the Yes to Homes! Coalition proposes have real-life Minnesotans at the center. Sharing a personal story can be the difference in getting our bills passed.
Share your story via this short form.

Join Housing in Action's Housing Justice Forum for a virtual mayoral panel to see where Minneapolis election candidates stand on housing issues before you vote.

📝 September Event Recap 📝
|
YIMBYTOWN 2025
September was a big month for events! Five N4MN volunteer leaders joined pro-homes advocates from across the country at YIMBYTown 2025 and had an amazing and educational time!
"This was my first time going to YIMBYtown. It was exciting to meet so many other people who are pro-homes and want their cities and states to build enough homes for their neighbors. I learned a lot, and taught a little about how pro-homes changes are happening in Minnesota." - Brit

Sibling Rivalry Fundraiser
Sibling Rivalry exceeded our wildest expectations and couldn't have gone better! The event sold out with more than 180 tickets sold and the energy at the event was incredible!
We have gotten positive feedback from many attendees and many of the speakers who said they were impressed with the night and would be interested in attending again.
The event raised more than $8,000 for Neighbors for More Neighbors, including ticket sales.
We hope to have a rematch next year, this time on Minneapolis' home turf!
