Sibling Rivalry - Thursday, September 25th | 6 PM
|
Who loves affordable homes more? This month, we are going to find out.
We're teaming up with our friends at Sustain Saint Paul to co-host a special high-stakes fundraising face-off. Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 25th at 6 PM at the Black Hart of Saint Paul, as this is a member social you won't want to miss!
Expect an evening packed with more fun than a walkable, complete neighborhood. Highlights include:
- Live comedy and inspiring speakers, making the case for their city as the best city.
- Catered food, drinks, and plenty of conversation with your neighbors.
- A light-hearted competition to see who can raise the most to advance policy change in Minnesota.
Tickets are available now for a suggested donation of $25, but pay-what-you-can works, too.
We'll be revealing the full Minneapolis lineup on social media over the next week, but we're thrilled to announce two of our starting lineup:
- Ian Ringgenberg will be stepping up to the mic to represent Team Minneapolis. The self-proclaimed "Night Mayor of Minneapolis" is about to become Saint Paul's NIGHTMARE on the mic!
- Katie Jones, the House representative for parts of Downtown, Southwest, and North Minneapolis in the Minnesota Legislature. Katie is thrilled to represent Minneapolis in Sibling Rivalry because we all know that the sibling who is the boldest and takes the first step gets more cookies. 🍪 🥛
So grab your friends, get your tickets, bring your Minneapolis pride, and we'll see you soon!

Organizing Training Cohort - Part 1 of 3 Saturday, October 11th | 9 AM
|
As long as the Sibling Rivalry event doesn't get too intense, we will be co-hosting ANOTHER event with Sustain Saint Paul. We invite you to join us for a free three-part organizing training series, designed to help you grow your relational organizing skills.
Together, we’ll dive into core tools of organizing, such as having effective one-on-one conversations, exploring our own self-interest, and organizing 101 to better understand how change occurs. Between sessions, you’ll get the chance to practice your skills and bring your learning back to the group.
Whether you’re brand new to organizing or a seasoned veteran, this training will make you a more effective advocate for housing justice, help you build stronger connections to your community, and give you a toolbox for creating meaningful action.
The three-part series begins with an in-person training on October 11th and is open to anyone who is interested. Click the button below to learn more and RSVP today!
Note: Childcare will be provided at the event. If needed, RSVP by September 30th so we can get an accurate count for the provider.
