Your Monthly N4MN Update 🐰 April 2026 🐰
|
Last month, the Starter Homes Act (HF 3895 / SF 4123) was voted down 5-7 in the House Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee at the State Capitol. Read more on that vote here.
This setback is disappointing, but regardless of what comes next, the progress this bill has made this session is still a success. We are still doing everything we can to advance the Starter Homes Act, and we need your help to make as much noise as possible around this bill.
Email your legislator and Speaker Demuth today and tell them to support the Starter Homes Act this session.

Support the Right to Renew Act
The Right to Renew Act (HF 997 / SF 1671) is heading to its first committee hearing at the State Capitol! This bill ensures that renters who have abided by their lease can renew it and prevents landlords from non-renewal for arbitrary reasons, providing essential stability for renters, families, and communities.
Can you join us at the Capitol on Thursday?
Our bill will be considered in an informational hearing by the Senate Housing and Homelessness Prevention Committee on Thursday, April 9 at 12:30 PM.

Can't make it? Email your legislator and ask them to support the Right to Renew Act (HF 997 / SF 1671). Sending a message takes just a minute, but it makes a real difference.

Starter Homes Act Bill Hearings
Committee hearings on the Starter Homes Act were a mixed bag. We had a great informational hearing in the House Housing Finance and Policy Committee. Then a less great hearing in the House Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee.
Regardless of the outcome, it was great seeing supporters of the bill at the Capitol and making our voices heard!

March Member Social
Neighbors for More Neighbors volunteers gathered for ice cream, community, and taking a tour of in-progress housing projects, three of our favorite things, for the March Member Social!
Thanks to all who could make it!
